ISEE's Ethics & Philosophy Committee invites essays that explore original perspectives that arise from experiences and published literature that focuses on either climate change and sustainability or environmental justice.
The International Society of Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) Ethics and Philosophy Committee announces a call for an environmental ethics essay contest for graduate students and early career researchers (<5 years of terminal degree) throughout the world. The ISEE ethics and philosophy committee aims to strengthen and promote ethics and in environmental epidemiology.
We are interested in receiving essays that explore original perspectives that arise from personal experiences and published literature focusing on either 1) climate change and sustainability, or 2) environmental justice, that addresses one of the following questions:
Climate and Sustainability: Do student groups and educational institutions have an ethical responsibility for the promotion of sustainable climate actions?
Environmental Justice: When making environmental decisions, does increasing the participation of citizen science or community-based organizations lead to more environmentally just and sustainable solutions?
