Call for Award Nominations

The ISEE Awards Committee is soliciting nominations for different awards ranging specific career stages from senior scientists (John Goldsmith Award for Outstanding Contributions to Environmental Epidemiology), mid-career (Tony McMichael Mid-Term Career Award), and new investigator (Rebecca James Baker Award).
 
We are also asking for nominations for the Research Integrity Award, the Best Environmental Epidemiology Paper Award and the ISEE Fellows.
 
In addition, there are SNRN best abstract awards for students and early career researchers participating in the annual conferences as well as awards for the best abstracts from low and middle-income countries (LMICs). LMIC Best Abstract Awards recognize ISEE members with more than 5-years’ experience since their terminal degree (Masters or Doctorate).

 

Nominations due by March 15.

Ethics Essay Contest Winners

Kristina Zierold, chair of the ethics essay contest, announced that the two top prizes for the Ethics Essay contest were given to Mila Plaisant from The Netherlands and Jamie Daniel Reyes Sanchez from the USA. They will receive $1000 travel awards to an ISEE annual meeting.

Ethics Guidelines Adopted

Revised Ethics Guidelines for Environmental Epidemiologists were adopted by the ISEE Council on September 17, 2023. This revision and update of the Guidelines was carried out under the primary authorship of Ruth Etzel, Nivine Abbas, Michael Anastario, Adetoun Mustapha, Olayinka Osuolale, Atanu Sarkar, Ireneous Soyiri, Emile Whaibeh and Colin Soskolne.

Call for ISEE-AWPC Election 2024 

The Asia and Western Pacific Chapter (AWPC) of ISEE encourages you to seek election as a nominee or to nominate ISEE- member candidates from Asia and Western Pacific.

 

In accordance with the chapter bylaws, the chapter is seeking nominations for the following position:

 

One Treasurer (three-year term | July 2024-June 2027)

           
Who can be nominated?
Regular members of the AWPC of ISEE are eligible to nominate for and serve as the Chapter Treasurer.  You can nominate yourself or you can nominate another member provided she/he agrees in accordance with Article V, Section 1. If interested, send and email to the ISEE Secretariat at secretariat@iseepi.org or click here to submit your nomination.
