SNRN members come from all over the world with the goal of creating a global network of students and new researchers. 1. Capacity building. Members are eligible to participate in ISEE chapters and committees and compete for conference poster awards. There are opportunities to collaborate with environmental epidemiologists from all over the world on projects, workshops, and research papers and contribute to conference planning, policy setting, membership initiatives, and more! Members get free access to all ISEE technical methods focused and soft skill webinars, whereas non-members often need to pay a fee.
2. Community building. Members get to attend multiple SNRN-sponsored panel sessions, committee meetings, and a fun social event at the yearly conference that fosters networking between students and new researchers.
3. Conference participation and publication support. Members are eligible to be included as conference session co-chairs and Ethics co-discussants. Members also have access to the Peer Editing Program (PEP) that provides manuscript editing assistance to researchers affiliated with institutions residing in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and those from underrepresented racial minority groups. More recently, members have the exclusive opportunity to have their article publication fees covered by ISEE.
4. Cost reduction and financial benefits. Members are eligible to receive waivers or discounts on conference registrations based on their ISEE involvement. Members are also eligible to apply for travel awards, access publishing discounts or waivers in Environmental Epidemiology, and receive a 20% discount on books published by Wolters Kluwer when ordering online.

After the second day of the conference (September 19, time TBC) just in time for the sun-set, we will embark with the ferry to Cijin Island, a popular island located just off the shore of Kaohsiung. Once on the island, we will have the opportunity to indulge in the delicious local cuisine available from the rustic traditional eateries and abundant snack shops on Old Street. From there we will make a move to the laid back Sunset bar to enjoy some snacks and drinks. Don't miss out on this exciting chance to explore Kaohsiung, experience the local culture, and enjoy the company of your peers in a relaxed and inviting ambiance. This event provides the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow attendees, forging new friendships and strengthening professional relationships.

HOW TO BE ENGAGED WITH THE SNRN |
If you are not receiving emails with content limited specifically only to SNRN related news, opportunities and events, but think you should be, please try the following:
1. Ensure you are registered as a SNRN member. All you have to do is log into your ISEE member portal and click on "sign me up!" here. Please note that if you have a LMIC or Early Career subsidized membership, this step is essential for you as the ISEE system does not recognise you automatically as a SNRN member.
2. Ensure you are not suppressing broadcast Emails. Ensure you have NOT checked the "suppress broadcast Emails" box in your ISEE personal space here. |
If you are still experiencing problems with receiving regular SNRN emails, please send an email to the ISEE Secretariat at: secretariat@iseepi.org (cc:isee.snrn@gmail.com). |
