The Department of Environmental Health Sciences at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health invites applications for multiple faculty positions at the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.
We seek exceptional candidates with established or emerging research programs in environmental health sciences. Priority areas include climate and health science, experimental and mechanistic research, laboratory sciences and exposomics, environmental health data science and multi-omics, translational and solution-oriented research, and community-engaged or participatory research approaches. Candidates working across other areas of environmental health sciences are also encouraged to apply.
The Department of Environmental Health Sciences is a nationally recognized leader in interdisciplinary research, education, and public health impact. Faculty benefit from a highly collaborative academic environment with extensive opportunities for partnership across Columbia University and affiliated research centers and programs, including the Columbia Center for Children’s Environmental Health, the Program for Climate and Health, the Center of Innovative Exposomics, and multiple NIEHS-supported initiatives.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop and sustain innovative research programs, contribute to graduate and doctoral education, mentor students and trainees, and engage in interdisciplinary collaborations across the University.
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in environmental health sciences or a related discipline (PhD, ScD, DrPH, MD, or equivalent) and demonstrate strong scholarly achievement, research productivity, and collaborative potential.
