Khalifa University — the UAE’s top‑ranked research university — invites applications for a full‑time Associate Professor of Environmental Epidemiology. This position sits within the Department of Public Health & Epidemiology and supports the University’s expanding research and graduate training portfolio in environmental health, climate–health interactions, and population‑based epidemiology. Applications will also be considered for positions at Full and Assistant Professor level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading an active research program in environmental epidemiology.
- Publishing in high‑impact journals and securing external funding.
- Teaching and mentoring at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Supervising MPH/PhD students and contributing to curriculum development.
- Collaborating on multidisciplinary projects and participating in academic service.
Qualifications:
Required Quaklifications:
- PhD in Environmental Epidemiology, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years relevant academic/research experience, including 5 years at Assistant Professor level.
- Expertise in environmental exposure assessment (e.g., air pollution, climate–health, built environment).
- Strong skills in advanced epidemiologic methods, including longitudinal and spatial analysis.
- Experience with large datasets, environmental monitoring, GIS, or remote sensing is highly desirable.
- Regional experience in arid or rapidly developing settings is an advantage.
