The Department of Epidemiology is seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. candidate to join an exciting project on the health consequences of a disrupted internal clock. This research, led by Eva Schernhammer, explores how circadian rhythm disturbances, especially due to shift work, affect long-term health outcomes like chronic diseases and premature mortality.

*Key Responsibilities, as PhD candidate:

Conduct research on circadian rhythm disruption and its impact on health.

Investigate personalized medicine solutions based on genetic and environmental factors.

Analyze big data, omics, and biomarkers using advanced epidemiological methods.

Collaborate internationally with experts, including opportunities for short-term stays at Harvard University.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
Interest in conducting your own research and leading your own project.
Willingness to travel abroad for conferences.
Ability to work both in a team and independently.
Excellent English skills (at least B1 level)

Advantageous: Background in genetic epidemiology, data science, or metabolomics.
