Event Description
The ISEE Armed Conflict and Environmental Health SIG is hosting a webinar titled "Environmental Health Consequencesof Military Interventions in Palestine" on June 17, 2026 at 2 pm US Eastern Time.
The webinar will include two speakers. The first is Dr. Samur Aberzeer from the University College of Science and Technology, Knah Younis, Palestine speaking on "Accelerating Environmental Devastation in Gaza and the Deepening Public Health Catastrophe." The second is Dr. Mazin Qumsiyeh, Institute for Biodiversity & Sustainability, Bethlehem University, Palestine, speaking on "An Environmental Nakba (Catastrophe) in Gaza: Local and global ramifications". The moderator will be Dr. Amira Aker, School of Public Health, Boston University, USA.
